June Plan With Me | My Bujo | Sitting In The Clouds

A fresh month in your bullet journal is always exciting as there are clean new pages to fill out and experiment with. This month I’ve kept some of my old favourites, and got rid of others.

IMG_5009.jpg

I hated the colour scheme I did for May so in June I decided to try something I haven’t done before and tried doing an ombre effect with yellow and pink. I’m really pleased how it came out.

IMG_5010

I stuck with my first double page spread being my One Line and Doodle A Day spread but I’m already regretting doing a Doodle A Day this month as I’ve been enjoying incorporating a doodle into the blank space I have left on my weekly spreads. Therefore this spread might get abandoned but we’ll see.

I realised in May that leaving only one line for my One Line A Day sometimes wasn’t enough so therefore I’ve removed the dates down the left hand column and everyday after I’ve finished writing my one “line”, I will put the next day straight underneath. This is just give me more room if I need rather than trying to squish everything together.

IMG_5011

Seriously without Boho Berry I don’t know where my bullet journal would be, she gives me so much inspiration for spreads. This circular mood tracker was inspired from hers, of course. It’s a simpler version of the mood tracker than last month’s. I will just rate the day out of 10 depending on how good or bad it was then colour in the according boxes. Hopefully it will make a cool patter at the end of the month.

IMG_5012

Within each spread I’ve made my birthday bold because why not? haha! My monthly habit tracker has pretty much stayed the same with the first section of habits. I’ve included a “creative time” as I’m officially on summer break from uni and I want to make sure I’m still creating things and keeping up my skills. The section underneath is all to do with my recent health kick. In 2016 I wanted to take up swimming and I’ve FINALLY had motivation to do so. Today was my first session and I really enjoyed it. I’m excited to go back and build up my stamina and just feel better about myself.

I’ve also been slacking on my water intake recently and because it’s getting warmer in the UK now it’s even more important for me to drink more water. Therefore I’ve made my daily target 3 litres. I’ve also added a “no food after 8pm” on my tracker as well because I want to train myself to stop late night snacking.

IMG_5013

My spending log is back because I find it really useful to see where all my money is going. Thankfully I won’t have to spend much on uni this month and there will probably be a lot of pink columns. It is summer after all.

IMG_5014

And finally before we get into my weekly spreads, I’ve included “20 Things I’ve Learnt in 20 Years” as I am turning 20 this month. I have 11 more days until I’m no longer a teenager so I wanted to reflect on my time on this earth so far and think about all the things I’ve learnt. Once this spread is complete, I would love to do a blog post on it, if you’re interested.

IMG_5005

This is my first full weekly spread in June. I’m in love with it already. I just love all the colour and the doodles I’m incorporating. It just makes me so happy to look at.

I have incorporated my water intake into each day with the squares on the left hand side. I just colour in a box for each 500ml glass I drink. This just allows me to track my water more easily as I know then if I colour in 6 boxes I’ve drunk my target of 3 litres.

My past weekly spreads used to see Saturday and Sunday share a rectangle but I’ve recently realised that I needed more room to write my weekend activities so I reformulated the layout to enable me to allow the weekend days to have a box each. I really like this layout now and think I’ll be sticking with it for a while. It also takes me half the time to create which is a lifesaver sometimes.

I’m really excited to be back in my bullet journal as in May, near the end I just couldn’t be bothered to fill in my spreads. With the little changes I made and how much nicer the colour scheme is, I feel like this month will be a good one.

Do you bullet journal? What spreads have you done for June, let’s chat in the comments.

until next time,

xoxo, rachel

April In Review + May Plan With Me

Hitting 800 Followers & Life Updates | Tea Talk #8 | Sitting In The Clouds

WARNING: a lovely long rambley post

I haven’t posted in nearly a month which means I’m kind of out of the loop with this whole blogging thing and it feels weird to be writing again. Yes, I’ve been off my blogging game for about a month now, but I personally don’t feel this is wrong or that I should feel guilty for it. Everyone needs a break, not only when it comes to their blog but with everything in their lives. Whether it’s reading, bullet journaling or any other hobby you may have. And for me all my hobbies have taken a back seat recently, it just so happens blogging has been the most noticeable. University work has pretty much been my life for the past couple of months as I’ve been working towards finishing my first year and getting all portfolio work complete. Therefore, not only had my blog taken a back seat, I’ve barely touched my bullet journal and I haven’t finished a book in nearly two weeks. To be honest I’ve barely had any motivation for anything. But today, at 2pm my 4 and a half month long summer started as I handed in my portfolio.

However, for the past week or so I’ve been eager to get back into blogging but I feel the reason why I’ve had little motivation for it is because my blog is titled “a beauty blog” and I’ve been labelling myself “a beauty blogger” since starting a year ago. Don’t get me wrong sometimes I love writing beauty and makeup posts and I do enjoy experimenting and buying new makeup but out of all the topics I like to discuss on my blog, it isn’t my favourite. Therefore, starting today I will focusing more on the lifestyle, much like this blog post as well as including fashion as I love doing OOTD posts, and book side of things more. I will still be sticking a few beauty posts in here and there but I won’t be forcing myself to do an empties post at the end of each month, or always making sure I have new favourites to talk about. It’s no longer the direction I want to take my blog. But by all means that doesn’t mean I won’t continue to post this type of content nor enjoying reading other beauty bloggers.

And continuing on…sorry this is such a rambley blog post but while I’ve been away I’ve hit TWO major milestones in my blogging journey. I hit 800 followers, which is incredible, I can’t even imagine that many people. So thank you. But what excites me most is that I’ve now been blogging for an entire YEAR! I wrote and published my first post on the 22nd of May 2016 called Am I Really Sitting On A Cloud? and to this day it’s still one of my favourite blog posts I like to go back and read. I just want to thank you all for your continued support through-out this first year but even more so when I’ve been absent. I was still getting hits on my blog while I was away which is amazing as it shows people still enjoy my content even if I’m not posting consistently.

I’ve been away a month and although I wasn’t the busiest person in the world I did get up to a few things in the midst of the chaos that was my life during uni stress season.

So, What Have YOU Missed?

I spent a lovely long weekend in the Cotswold with my extended family to celebrate my Grandmas 80th birthday.

I celebrated the end of uni a week early by going out for drinks in my favourite cocktail bar with my friends in London.

IMG_1657

IMG_1665
don’t worry those drinks weren’t all mine…I think anyway.

I spent some great quality time with Tom which always helps me destress and just forget about my never ending to-do list for university. It helped that the weather has been amazing this past week even if the past couple has been the complete opposite.

Reading….

I’ve read a few books here and there. Reading has always been something I do to get away from the real world so I really enjoyed getting into bed after a full day of work or uni and escaping to another world.

If you saw my April Wrap Up you would know that I was in the middle of History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera last time I updated you. Unfortunately it was my second DNF of the year. My next read however was 5 stars and that was The Christmasauras by Tom Fletcher.

I’ve been making really good use of my local library recently and all my current reads have been library loans. I really want to buy a physical copy of The Christmasaurus though, it was too good not to.

  • The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr (⭐️⭐️⭐️.5)
  • We Are All Made of Molecules by Susin Nielsen (⭐️⭐️⭐️.75)

I’m currently reading Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.

ready-player-one-book-cover.jpg

This was such a strong book at the beginning, I was raving about it, I knew it was going to be 5 stars and one of my new all time favourite books but nearing the end it’s getting slow and repetitive. I’m still enjoying it but not as much as I was. It’s now nearing around 4-4.5 stars, it depends on the ending.

Bullet Journalling…

Much like my blog and reading, I fell into a little bit of a bullet journal slump in May. My monthly spreads got neglected, even my weekly spreads were failing me. However I’m so excited about this weeks spread as I think I’m finally out of my LIFE slump. I’ve added a lot of colour, doodles and stickers into it and I love it.

IMG_5005.jpg
I’ve been experimenting a lot with my weekly spreads at the minute as I was in my slump, trying to find a layout that would work for me and I think I’ve finally found it.

I’ve been very motivated the past couple of days in every aspect of my life. I want to make my blog better than ever, really experiment with my bullet journal, I’ve included a dutch door into my next spread, and I’m going to start swimming to get into a better healthy lifestyle routine. Let’s just say I’m excited about the future.

So yeah, I just wanted to let you know I’m alive and well and I’m officially back to blogging. I hope you’ve enjoyed this ramblely post and that you’re excited for the future of my blog.

until next time,
p.s. I’m really trying to grow my twitter presence at the minute so if you’re not following go ahead. I post a lot of blog updates on there as well.

April In Review + May Plan With Me | My Bujo | Sitting In The Clouds

I was so excited to use my bullet journal in April due to all my new creative spreads I had incorporated and they didn’t let me down. Bullet journalling is all about experimenting and not always the spreads you creative you enjoy and use to it’s full potential but I LOVED all my spreads in April, especially my Doodle A Day and the mood tracker.

IMG_4976.jpg

IMG_4977.jpg

One of my favourite doodles I did in April was my Beauty and Beast inspired picture that I did when Tom and I went to go see the new live action film, which we both adored.

IMG_4981.jpg

I LOVE my mood tracker spread has it’s just so colourful but it was also a lot of fun to fill out during the month, constantly playing a game of Tetris. I love looking at it and seeing quickly how I was feeling over the month, as you can tell April was a really good month for me, I was pretty much always happy with a few stressed and sad days thrown in.

IMG_4983.jpg

I’ve been really enjoying my new weekly spreads as they give me more space to write down my to-do lists but at the same time still enabling me to track my water for the week as well as keeping my overall notes, university and next week boxes at the bottom.

I’ve also been trying to do some blank space journal, I think that’s what it’s called anyway. Where if you have any space left over in your day, you journal about that day in that space. I, however, tend to stick to quotes/song lyrics relating to that days activities or feelings as I already have my One Line A Day.

Because I loved all my spreads in April, I repeated them all again for May. I regret using the colour orange as my overall theme for the month as now I think about it, it’s very halloweeney.

IMG_4984.jpg

I also really enjoyed reusing an old monthly layout in April, inspired by Boho Berry so I kept it for May. My month always look so free at the beginning but by the end it gets really hectic and full up.

IMG_4985.jpg

IMG_4987.jpg

I pretty much kept all the same moods to track, I replaced sad with cried and made it a light green rather than a dark green.

IMG_4989.jpg

I much preferred having my spending log landscape in April so used the same layout in May but removed the “Fun” category as I found that “Me” and “Fun” were pretty much the same thing. I also realised that ALL my money goes on food, who knew ahah!!

My habit tracker has stayed the same as well. I just enjoyed my bullet journal in April so much I literally copy and pasted it into May. So much so I traced all my headers as I loved them a lot as well.

However, if you’ve been following me for a while you’ll notice one major change, I no longer have a blog tracker. Although I want to use it, I haven’t paid much attention to it for the past couple of months so I got rid of it for May. If I can’t live without it, I can always reintroduce it in June.

Do you have a bullet journal? What are you favourite spreads to create each month? Let’s chat in the comments.

April Plan With Me | My Bujo | Sitting In The Clouds

How are we four months into 2017 already? I remember clear as day setting up my bullet journal for the new year, creating my goals and drinking way too much to welcome in 2017. However, I finally feel grounded and really happy with how my bullet journal is working for me. I think I’ve found the things that do and don’t work for me and I’m so excited to explore April in my bujo.

March: Plan With Me | March In Review

IMG_4563

For April I decided to switch up my monthly overview. I used to do this layout, inspired by Boho Berry, when I first started bullet journalling at the very end of 2015, beginning of 2016. This layout worked for me back then but I wanted to try it out again as I’m now much more confident in what I want my bullet journal to be for me.

I simply have a line per day while each day is spilt into three categories; all day, morning and evening. I’m still using my trusty colour coding system as the seperate colours for the different things (purple: social, pink: uni, green: work, blue: hospital) and they really help me stay organised and see from a glance how my day is going to be occupied. The column on the right hand side just houses some more generic to-do lists; monthly TBR (books I want to read in April), a monthly to-do list (tasks I want to get within the month but doesn’t have a set day), events that are coming up next month and a uni box for me to write any uni tasks or deadlines for the month.

IMG_4564

Flipping the page I have another “One Line A Day” collection as I loved doing this spread in March. However, I wanted another, different way in documenting each day of the month so I opted for a “Doodle A Day” spread as well. Having both on the same double page spread will allow me to see written and visually how my month was.

IMG_4568

Moving onto the next double page spread is where my monthly tracking starts. Here I have my “Monthly Habit Tracker”, I used to do these weekly but at the end of March wanted to switch back to the monthly overview and really enjoyed it so carried it into April.

Opposite is my “Monthly Sleeping Tracker”. March was the first month I tried this out and I actually saw some correlation in the hours I slept and how good I felt when waking up so I’m really excited to continue on in April and see if the same patterns occur. The mini table at the bottom is to track if I read before sleeping, if I snuggled with Tom and if I used my phone before sleeping. I feel like I get a better nights sleep either if I read beforehand or if I slept with Tom so I just like ticking the relevant each day to see if a pattern occurs.

IMG_4569

Next is my trusty “Blog Tracker”. In this bullet journal I have never gone a month without creating one of these spreads, it’s just such a useful way for me to track my blog posts each month. However, I have noticed that I write in the blog posts for certain days and then end up changing my mind. Therefore next month I may use sticky notes to write in the blog posts, enabling me to easily move around the ideas if I want to switch up posts.

IMG_4570

Next is my “Spending Log”. If you saw my “March In Review” post you may notice some differences between my two spending trackers. In March, I did it portrait and I had A LOT more categories. I realised that I barely used many of the different categories I created so in April I shorten the list to only the key ones; Food, Uni, Car, Fun and Me. Also having it landscape and in a more bar chart style will really help me see my spends more clearly.

IMG_4573

My final monthly spread for April is my “Mood Tracker”. April is my first official month of trying a spread like this as in March I kind of did one as a spare of a moment thing as I had some room under my habit tracker, and enjoyed the idea so carried it through to April, expanding it to a whole page and developing the idea.

I got this particular Tetris idea off a fellow blogger, unfortunately I can’t remember who which sucks…I really need to start writing peoples names down that I take inspiration from. I have basically dedicated a mood to each of the classic Tetris pieces. Each day I will pick a overall mood for the day and draw the shape into the “Tetris Playing Area”. Over the course of the month I will have to start actually playing the game, trying to fit each of the pieces together. I think it will be a fun way to track my mood as well as having some fun at the same time.

I really love how April turned out for me in my bullet journal and I can’t wait to use every spread. I’m writing this on April 1st and I have already done my doodle of the day, and I can already tell I’m going to love this spread. Fingers crossed I keep it up.

Do you use a bullet journal? What spreads have you included in April? Let’s chat in the comments.

March In Review | My Bujo | Sitting In The Clouds

Welcome Back!!!…but I’m actually getting bored of saying that every time I start a new post, so you may not see it in my next one, but anyway. This past month I’ve been trying to really utilise my bullet journal and make it something more than just a place I write my to-do lists down in. It’s always been a place to let my creativity flow so at the end of February after being so inspired by Boho Berry, I took inspiration from a lot of her spreads to try for myself, therefore it was the first month in my bullet journal that I used a “month in review” spread and it’s came in so handy that I thought I’d share it with you guys.

IMG_4528.jpg

Now a “month in review” spread varies for everyone but generally it’s a spread in your bullet journal to evaluate how your month has gone; what pages worked well and you want to create again for the upcoming month, what spreads just really didn’t work and new ideas you have and want to try. Doing this enables you to really look at how to fully use your bullet journal and have no wasted space. I LOVED doing this spread and I feel it’s enabled my April spreads to really adapt and evolve into spreads that will really help me.

IMG_4531.jpg

I’ve been using the same monthly overview spread since starting starting this particular bullet journal back in September. I, did however, used to use a different format which I wanted to try out again and see if it still worked for me. I still really enjoy the classic box a day calendar spreads, I just wanted to switch things up. Therefore in my April Plan With Me you’ll be seeing a new monthly spread.

IMG_4535.jpg

I thought my other monthly overview page would be a great spread to put all my monthly to-dos, blog posts, books to read, etc, however in the end it just become a dead space. Although I did try to use it, I never really flipped back to it and this spread. After trying it for a second time, I have decided this style of spread just isn’t for me.

My “One Line A Day” spread on the other hand, worked really well. I knew it would as I love my “One Line A Day” book, but having this spread within my bullet journal instead of having it in a completely different book was really helpful. It’s a spread that I have continued onto April along with new spread I’m really excited to use. However, you’ll have to wait for my April Plan With Me to see what it is.

IMG_4537.jpg

My blog tracker spread is one that never disappoints. It enables me to track my blog posts, plan ahead my posts for the entire month, and write down any new ideas. I love how I use it and how it looks, I don’t think I’ll be getting rid of it or switching it up any time soon.

IMG_4540.jpg

Now my time log started out strong but it fizzled out around the middle of the month. Because I’m kind of a perfectionist I had to have one block of each colour meaning I had to track where my hours of the day went on a post-it note and then at the end of the day, add it all up and then track it in my bullet journal. This just became hassle for me during the weekdays with work and uni, things I didn’t feel like I need to track, so this spread failed for me and I won’t be continuing onto April. It was a great idea that unfortunately just didn’t work for me.

IMG_4543.jpg

My spending log on the other hand was amazing. It made me really think about where my money was going, and if I wanted to buy something I knew I had to track it in my bullet journal and that always made me rethink if I needed it/wanted it. For this reason and the fact it helped me see where my money was going and made me cut down on things I didn’t really need, I’m continuing it onto April, but with a few new adjustments because the current spread is very messy so I’m hoping that my new layout will be a lot neater overall.

IMG_4544.jpg

Here is just a few brain dump pages I made. I’ve never been keen on brain dump pages before as I just liked my bullet journal to be like a planner, very neat and tidy and I found brain dump pages kind of messy. However, after being so inspired by Boho Berry and wanting to make my bullet journal more than just a to-do list book, I decided to try a brain dump page.

OMG they are wonderful. I was being told a lot of information at university one day and just decided to write it all down in my bullet journal on a “brain dump” page and it really helped me clear my mind and make me less stressed about it all. Although I haven’t really flipped back to either of the pages much, I still love having them as they have come in handy sometimes. I am no longer afraid of making my bullet journal a little messy with pages like this and will for sure be doing more in the future.

IMG_4546.jpg

This is a spread that you wouldn’t have seen in my March Plan With Me as I added it a few days into the month and that is my “sleeping tracker” spread which I LOVE!!! I track how many hours I sleep and how good I feel when I wake up. I also track if Tom has stayed round as I always sleep better in his arms….soppy I know and if I’ve read before I’ve slept to see if reading does actually relax me and help me get a better night sleep. So far I’m seeing a collation between getting 7 hours sleep and feeling really good. It seems the more sleep I get sometimes I worse I feel. I love this spread and I’m finding it really interesting so I’m definitely carrying it into next month.

Much like my month overview, I was just getting bored of planning out the same weekly spread each week and wanted to try something new as well as something more simple so it took me less time to set up each week. I got this idea from someone else, although I can’t remember who but I love it and found it worked really well for me. It still enabled me to track my water and habits within the week as well as my uni deadlines and other notes. This spread is a lot more clean and simple and a lot easier to read, I’m really enjoying them.

IMG_4553.jpg

As you can tell I added quite a few new spreads and collections to my bullet journal in March as I just loved being in there. One of my new collections is the “how I rate my books”. Now to be honest, I was just bored one night and wanted to be in my bujo so created this spread and although I really like it, I don’t flip to it at all, maybe one day it will come in useful.

IMG_4554.jpg

On the opposite side I have a monthly habit tracker and yes I was tracking my habits weekly but I wanted to try again with a monthly overview to see more of how each of my habits was playing out over the month rather than weekly. I much prefer it even though I did like the weekly. I have adapted it by adding a few new habits and it’s been recreated in April.

At the bottom you may also have noticed a mood tracker. This was a spare of the moment idea as I had some room left over but I actually really like it and have included it, but a new take on it for April.

IMG_4560.jpg

I was reading quite a bit in March and when I came to colouring in my old spread, I got so confused with which books they were and what order I’d read them and even the colour coding system so I started a fresh. I’ve seen loads of people use the bookshelf design to track their reading so I decided to give it a go and so far I’m loving it. I find it a lot easier to see what I’ve read as I now write the titles on the spines as well as the ratings I gave them as the colour coding system for me is a lot easier to read. The other page is a cute little quote by Dr.Zuess to fill up a blank page before heading into my new weekly spread.

I was enjoying experimenting so much in March that I decided to try another new weekly spread.

IMG_4562.jpg

I haven’t even started this coming week yet and I can already tell I’m not going to like this new spread. I got inspiration from “bujo_blossom” on Instagram as her spread is beautiful but it just isn’t working for me already. I completely forget to leave a space to track my water and my blog posts so I know it’s not going to work for me from the get go. I will be going back to my previous weeklies for April for sure.

I really enjoyed looking back over my month in my bullet journal to see what worked and what didn’t and I feel it has really helped me plan out for the month of April. My April Plan With Me will be live on my blog at the end of next week so keep your eyes peeled for that as I’m so excited to share it with you. It turned out amazingly!

Thank you for reading and supporting my blog. I did have a little one week break as I just didn’t feel motivated to write and I didn’t want to put our content just for the sake for it but I have some really good blog posts coming so get excited.

until next time,

My Current NON-Beauty Favourites | Sitting In The Clouds

Welcome Back!!! I haven’t done a favourites post since the new year, I actually think my last one was my November Favourites. However, I’ve been sticking to the same makeup products for a while now so I don’t have any new ones to share with you, therefore I thought I’d share with you my non-beauty favourites as those do change often and I thought it would be a great way to get to know me on a more personal level.

(I want to make this a three part series, including my makeup favourites, one last time, and my current fashion favourites. Let me know if this is something you would enjoy)

IMG_4462.jpg

I have so many different hobbies, reading and makeup are just two of them that I share with you all but I don’t think many of you know that I’m a massive Sims player. Sims first came out in like 2000 (yes, 17 years ago) and I’ve played every generation. Of course, I’m older now, nearing 20 so I don’t play as much as I used to but it’s still something I love. It’s time where I can escape from reality…a bit likes books, and just distract myself from the real world. I could get lost in this game for HOURS. I’ve been playing it a lot more recently when I have a spare hour or so. I’ve also been watching a lot more Sims videos on YouTube, Deligracy and The Sims Supply being the main two, as well as Steph0Sims but I also love watching Alfie and Zoe play Sims 4 as they are such newbs, however this can sometimes really irritate me.

IMG_4472.jpg

You all know that I love to read as I talk about books a lot on my blog but a book I’ve recently read, and will be included in my March Wrap Up post is Caraval by Stephanie Garber. I was skeptical about going into this read as I really disliked The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and there had been a lot of comparisons but OMG this book is incredible!!!! An easy 5 star for me and my second 5 star book of the year. If you are a reader and haven’t read this book I highly highly recommend it! Plus, it has a gorgeous cover.

IMG_4467.jpg

Tom got me a gorgeous pair of Swarovski earrings for Christmas (What I Got For Christmas) and I told myself I would save them for special occasions but I’ve been gravitating towards them for everyday wear as they are just too stunning to leave in a box for months on end. They add a something extra to a simple jumper and jeans outfit and I love them.

IMG_4463.jpg

I never used to be a huge green tea fan and only drank it on occasion, however recently (the last couple of months) it’s become a staple in my morning routine, so much so I can no longer drink regular tea and enjoy it. BUT the only green tea I like, even normal green tea doesn’t do much for me these days, is the Twinings Cranberry Green Tea. It’s soo good!!! If you’re a tea drinker, definitely try this one out.
(I was thinking about doing a benefits of green tea blog post, let me know if you would be interested)IMG_4468.jpg

Another favourite of mine recently has been the Staedtler Pigment Liner pens. I originally got them for uni so I could focus on really designing my sketchbook for presentation purposes, however they have become a much loved accessory along side my bullet journal. I love them so much because they have six different nib sizes to choose from as well as an angled tip so I can really create a variety of headers. But the best thing is that there is no bleed through onto the next page at all.

On the same theme as the pens, my bullet journal, a constant favourite of mine, as been a huge love of mine in March because of all my new spreads thanks to the inspiration from Boho Berry. I’ve even added spreads through-out the month since my “March Plan With Me” that I can’t wait to share with you guys. Some of the spreads haven’t worked like I wanted to but that’s what great about the bullet journal system. One question: Is it bad to plan for April already?!

IMG_4471

Now time for some music favourites

  • Ed Sheeran…of course!! Love his new album, favourite songs include Barcelona, Nancy Mulligan and Bibia Be Ye Ye.
  • Aston Merrygold, my boy in blue recently released a new single, Show Me. It’s one of my favourites from him.
  • Simple Plan, one of my favourite bands and although their most recent album is great, I’ve been going old school and listening to their “Get Your Heart On” album which was released in 2013.

I would love to share my Spotify playlists with you all so if you know how I can do that easily, let me know.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, let me know by liking and commenting. Also, let me know if you would like to see this as part of a series, as I think a fashion favourites would be really fun.

Do we share any of the same favourites? Would love to know if you’ve played the Sims?

until next time,

xoxo, rachel

One Lovely Blogger Award | Sitting In The Clouds

Welcome Back!!! I was nominated by the lovely Natalie from Natty Vinh for this award which was so kind of her so go check out her blog for travel, beauty and lifestyle posts.

one-lovely-blog-award.jpg

  • Each nominee must THANK the person who nominated them and link their blog in the post ☑️
  • They must include the rules and add the blog award badge as an image ☑️
  • Must add 7 facts about them ☑️
  • Then nominate 15 people

7 facts:

  • I’m a very organised and planner based person. I can’t do electronic calendars or planning apps, everything has to be written down on paper, hence the love of my bullet journal.
  • Creme Eggs are my weak spot. Every time Easter comes around, my fridge is always filled with boxes upon boxes of them. They become like my fruit supplement, I only allow myself one a day but if I could, I would live off them.
  • I’ve recently realised that my past has effected me more than I thought. Some people say that past relationships help you grow but all mine has done is drag me down. I never used to be this insecure (not sure that’s the right word) about myself.
  • My idol has and will always be the man that invented the mouse…Mr Walt Disney. What I would do to meet him and thank him.
  • Ed Sheeran has become one of my new favourite artists and you all probably know why. My favourite songs from him are, Drunk, Gold Rush, Gallaway Girl, Barcelona, Nancy Mulligan and Bibia Be Ye Ye.
  • I can’t wait for the day that I have my own home and get to paint and decorate it as I please.
  • Another one about the future, I really want two dogs when I’m older, a french bulldog and an Australian (or German, both equally cute and gorgeous) Shepard.

My Nominees: (warning you now, I will never be able to nominate more than about five bloggers at one time, I don’t know what it is but I find it really. However, everyone I nominate is for a reason, I love their blogs, their content, their pictures, and they are just all so lovely)

Amelia from Rosetintedpics
Abi from Abisays.co.ukAbi from Abisays.co.uk
Natalie from The Pixie Dusted Disney Freak
Mercy from Mercyish
Jessica Riga
Sarah Wilde

I love these tag, award posts as they are a great way to recognise fellow bloggers so be sure to check out some of the girls I’ve mentioned, they all have amazing blogs with awesome content.

Thank you again to Natalie for nominating me and until next time,

xoxo, rachel
