I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO WRITE |Tea Talk #9 | Sitting In The Clouds

I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO WRITE! I’ve searched my brain for new blog post ideas. I’ve googled and googled but nothing sparks my inspiration or my passion for my blog anymore. I don’t want this to be the end but when I see a blank “write” box, I feel intimated, guilty and a little sad. I’m so proud of this little space of mine and how it has grown and I don’t want to throw it down the drained. I thought taking a break for a while would be the answer but I haven’t properly posted since April and I’m getting scared the passion and determination I once had for Sitting In The Clouds is going or maybe even gone. I don’t want this break to go on for any longer.

Here’s what’s going to happen in the last attempt to bring the joy I once had for blogging back…

One | HAVE A REVAMP – I’m a graphic designer so it can’t be that hard to redesign my blog banner, my blog post headers and the overall look and feel of my blog and turn it into something I really want to post on. However, my big computer has broken so we’ll how designing on my 13″ screen will go.
(edit: you will start to see the redesign pop up around my blog now. Let me know what you guys think of it.)

Two | PLAN IDEAS – This one is going to be a little tricker since I’ve been trying to do that for a while now. I think of ideas then don’t want to write any. Β I really want to focus on my bullet journal posts, my love for Disney and reading. Concentrating more on my lifestyle aspect of my blog. I still really want to do OOTD/W posts, but I have a feeling beauty and makeup will take a heavy backseat.

Three | INTERACT AGAIN – Not only have I been off my blogging game but I haven’t read your posts or interacted with you on your blogs in so long and I’ve missed it. Interacting with other bloggers is a massive part of this community and you can’t really do one without the other. So let’s reconnect. Link me to your blog posts and social medias below and I’ll say hi!

and finally….

Four | INVOLVE YOUΒ – I have nearly 900 of you amazing readers so I would love to know what you want to see from me. I want to involve you more in my blog decisions and make my readers the main drive of my blog. I love chatty posts, much like this one, so if you have any topics you want me to discuss let me know. I really want the comments on my blog to get more attention and allow anymore to address their opinions and know they won’t get shut down.

So in conclusion….PLEASE HELP ME!!! The next blog post CAN’T be “RIP Sitting In The Clouds”.

until next time,
xoxo, rachelΒ

  1. You could look at a blank slate as being intimidating….or you could see it as opportunity. Do you meditate? I would suggest a meditation to see where you are at. You keep a Bujo, is it with you all the time? Do you ever do thought maps or associations? I bet you have had many ideas and either got distracted or felt they weren’t that great. But you seem like a pretty great and genuine person, so I bet you could build a great blog post on anything that has crossed your mind. I keep a Bujo Grimoire and I love it but like so many things in my life I drop the ball in favor of other things. I have WAY to many interests! If you are interested check out my blog ivalaine.com. I believe you’ll find your way!

    1. These words!!! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ thank you so much!! I have pages of blog ideas so I guess I just need to start writing! Thank you so much for this comment, means a lot! And no I haven’t tried mediation but I was doing yoga a while back and I enjoyed it so maybe I should pick it back up again πŸ™ˆπŸ’–πŸ’œ

      1. I have been using an app to do yoga every morning and I really love it. It’s like having a yoga studio with you wherever you want. It’s called Down Dog. πŸ™‚ You should check it out.

  2. Don’t go! I love your blog sweetie! One thing that I did was change the theme. It made my everything so much more appealing. I believe in you! xo

  3. Maybe try to reogranize your writing space at home so you can be motivated to pour all those ideas out of your head and onto the screen? Watch inspiring movies or videos? Interact with interesting and supportive people in real life so you’ll be inspired and be encouraged again to write? 😊 Those are some of the few things I actually did to focus again on blogging. I really hope you’ll find your way again here, cause i’d still love to read posts from you since im a new follower. This blog’s great, btw and i hope you wont give up on it. Good luck!

    1. yeah it doesn’t help when your main computer breaks to continue your motivation. I have recently got a new desk and at first it was first and I felt so motivated. I’ve actually spent the morning looking at tons of different blogs and reading and interacting and I’m starting to get my motivation back along with all the work I did with my redesign yesterday. Thank you for the comment and the tips, i’ll bare them in mind. I don’t think I’ll be disappearing just yet ❀
